The Lucky Leprechaun Party and Giveaway

Hues of green and gold decorated the tavern from ceiling to floor, in preparation for their St. Patrick's Day party. Shamrocks and rainbows hung from the ceiling in various spots. The walls had been charmed with a pale green and gold marbleized look. Each table was dressed simply with an arrangement of green flowers and shamrocks in a gold and black dish that resembled a pot of gold.

The bar had been polished until is sparkled and was stocked with refreshments of all types - ales, lagers, wines, sodas and others. Most of which had been dyed green or a golden hue in honor of the day. Those that hadn't were to be served in green or gold mugs, whilst the food was to be served on plates of the same hues. The tavern's normal fare was to be augmented with two specialty menus - one of Irish dishes and the other of green and gold dishes.

The staff was dressed in a variety of ways, all appropriate for the celebration. Some simply wore green or gold, while others chose to come in in costume. Regardless of dress, each had a shamrock pinned to their outfit and the majority of the females had green and gold ribbons tied to their hair. Some went as far as creating wreaths of greenery and flowers and wore them as crowns.

Gold curtains backdropped the stage which was currently empty. An assortment of Irish themed entertainment had been lined up for the night, but is was still early. Step dancers, musicians, comedians were all on the bill, to be interspersed with acts from the patrons.

It was this aspect of the night that the proprietress was currently working at, ironing out the last remaining details. The Lucky Leprechaun would be sponsoring a raffle for the city's fledglings, with 16 winners each receiving a basket of goodies, including the oft sought out Class Robes. There were to be two baskets per class with the winners chosen by a lottery. Entry would be free and any fledgling who wished, could sign up. There would also be openings for any who wished to perform some small piece. Any who braved the stage would receive a complementary dish and drink, courtesy of the house, along with a small token of appreciation.

She drew up a small ad and sent it off with a messenger to post around the town, hoping to draw attention to the contest.

A St. Patrick's Day Raffle

All fledglings are invited to enter a free raffle for one of sixteen (two per class) class baskets.
Baskets include weaponry, armour, vials, scrolls, currency and a set of class robes.

Winners will be chosen by lottery.
Need not be present to win, but must sign up at The Lucky Leprechaun to be entered.
Deadline to enter is 11:59pm EST on St. Patrick's Day, March 17.

In addition to the raffle, The Lucky Leprechaun is also welcoming any and all patrons to perform a St. Patrick's Day or Irish inspired piece. All performers will be treated to a meal and drink on the house as well as go home with a small gift.

With the ads sent out for distribution, she turned her attention to the small table that'd be used for raffle sign-ups. Set up near the door, it was covered in a rich hunter green table cloth. A single sheet of parchment with a golden hued quill sat beside a black pot for entrants to sign for entry into the raffle. It was divided neatly into 8 boxes with one per class.

One last look around confirmed everything was set and The Lucky Leprechaun opened their doors for business.

An on-stage act is not required to win, but those that do an act, even if not level 25-100 will receive a gift.

Takes the quill and signs her name on the parchment, once her name is signed it is folded up and shoved through the hole of the box marked Cleric. Invitations had been given to preform she took a few moments to decide if this was something she would do. Pulling her Penny Whistle from her hip pocket, she made her way up on to the stage. Singing had never really been her thing, still she was very musically inclined in other ways, this had been one of them. Standing there she looked out at to no one in particular, I've chosen to play The Last Rose of Summer. When the song had ended her head tipped as she shoved the whistle back into her pocket and took her leave from the stage.

Rosalind was out walking around the town when she noticed the flyer pinned to the pole. There was going to be a St. Patrick's Day party at The Lucky Leprechaun. She also read about the give-a-way. She walked herself over to The Lucky Leprechaun. Upon entering she took a piece of paper, scribbled her name upon it and placed it in the box marked "Mage". She smiled as she walked toward the stage. She climbed the stairs and stood in front of the microphone. She cleared her throat and began: I don't sing or dance. I would like to recite a few funny poems, by Denise Rodgers.

Under the Kilt
Tell me, what’s under an Irishman’s kilt?
Is it an item to cause him some guilt?
When he’s outdoors, does it get a bit breezy?
When windy and wild, does it get a bit sleazy?
Whether an old guy, or some well-built hottie,
Does winter wind makes bumps all over his body?
Well, that is my guess, in an Irishy lilt.
As I still do not know what is under that kilt!

She bowed slightly before walking off the stage hoping she just didn't embarress herself too badly. But, it was all in good fun. She walked toward the bar and ordered herself a drink.

Duvessa was pleased to see the staff ready for the influx of patrons expected. They had worked hard to prepare for this special celebration and she'd be sure to reward that after the rush was over. She was going over the final menu with the head chef when the first patron of the day entered. Looking up, she nodded as he entered and she turned her attention back to the chef, knowing one of her staff would greet him and direct him to a seat. Hearing his question, she turned her attention back to the male.

"No one's. If you wish to enter the giveaway, the parchment is on the table. You'll need to sign the appropriate spot. Don't sign, you're not entered. Sign, you're entered."

She nodded to the others as they entered and signed their names. She was pleased that each lady had chosen to get up on the stage. Walking over to the parchment, she placed a star next to each of their names to remind herself to send them something later on. "Well done, ladies. Both were great performances. Your goodies will be delievered at a later date. Good luck on the raffle and please feel free to have a seat. You've also earned a free meal."

Stepping forward ever so slowly the cloaked figure deftly held out a hand. Oblivious to all others there it's cloaked face remained hidden in deep dark shadows as a blast of icy cold air slipped from within that very darkness that gave it such sweet anonymity. He had been told about this little soiree by one of his new acquaintances and as such he figured it would be a good way to get things started. With one single sweep of his hand a single drop of water formed, seemingly, from within the parchment and began to spell out his name before freezing over in a thick sheen of ice.

Looking around at the others he let out a dark and melancholy sound that seemed to be a laughter of some kind. The blonde that had answered the other man's question catching his eyes. He assumed she was in charge of this little event and as such he bowed ever so slightly as that cold and empty voice emanated from within the hood.

"Risia shall join this...Raffle."

The small fighter walked in dragging her sword behind her and looked at the nice lady. "I would like to sign but I can't write yet. My name is Shyana and I am a fighter." She looked at the lady hoping she could sign for her. "I know my abc's and How to sing itsy bitsy spider but I can no do the things the other peoples did." She wondered if her knowing her abc's and a song would help her out.

Chocolate brown eyes gazed up at the green and gold decorations with wonderment. Mila hadn't even noticed the refreshments yet. That extraordinary assortment of beverages and hoers devours to tickle the sinuses and tastes buds of any, young or old. As it was Mila had never seen anything quite so lovely. Everything glittered, sparkled, enticed and taunted. It was wonderful.

Fingers waved shyly at the strangers, but a giant grin lit up her face as Mila queried with the best manners that Mama had taught her, "May I enter your raffle too, please Ma'am?"

A Saint Patrick's Day Party? The irony her actual attendance as well as the touch of home-like aura to every true Irish Holiday was enough to lure the Blue Fae out. Home was long gone and out of reach, but this little celebration was enough to warm old bones. Speaking of bones, the five foot-something-ish petite woman made a soft, "OoooOooo" sound at the lovely decorations. The golds and greens were gorgeous and reminded her of long ago galas and festivities.

Applauding as the woman finished her recital of a few charming poems Estella declined an offered drink for the moment. An ale would do fine after her song. She loved all things regarding music. Musicals were her favorite movies and Ear Worms get stuck in her head without the slightest bit of work. Concerts had her attendance no matter the band or genre. The spriteling wasn't picky. The rare treat was when Estella would sing. Standing on stage in a pair of black slacks and a T-shirt that read "Dust Bunnies Do It Under Your Couch," she began to sing An Irish Lullaby

Over in Killarney

In tones so sweet and low.
Just a simple little ditty,
In her good ould Irish way,
And l'd give the world if she could sing

With a gracious and courtly curtsy Estella took her leave of the stage. She had a pint of good Ale to find.

The sharp clicks of heels against the hard floor announced her arrival. A poster offering items and finance s had been what bought her to this location more so than the prospect of mingling with the masses. I don't like it here....lets go home... A voice whispered from the large purse hanging from her shoulder. "Now, mon cher, you don't want poor old Issy to become a hermit do you?" Her voice was soft and mildly amused as she approached the table holding the parchment. Slender fingers reached into the bag, pass the writing ball of flesh and sutures to retrieve a pen. Isabeau bent slightly as she wrote her signature in elegant flowing letters.

With the signature complete, she straightened. A small smile tilted her lips as she turned to find a place to sit. She had time to observe those present before the winner of the raffle was announced.

A step here, a step there. Her eyes wandered the streets as she looked around at all there was to behold. Soon, she noticed a paper pasted. It was about a giveaway that Duvessa was putting on. It would be a good way to get some items if won.

With that thought she turned towards Town Hall and entered as quietly as she could. She signed her name and looked around to see who else had showed. No one that she knew of. If not for her shy personality she might perform. But what would she do? Her skills were only fighting and healing. She wasn't blessed with typical talent.

The cloaked figure caught her attention the moment he stepped in the door. Cloaked figures weren't such an usual sight in the city, but this one was different to her senses. She was pleased that he signed up for the giveaway; his method of signing was most unusual but rather fitting for him, she thought. A smile and slight incline of the head was given in response to his bow. "Best of luck in the raffle, sir."

The door opened again and this time, her gaze was forced down as the newest patron was rather on the small side. Her sword seemed to be almost as is as she was. Vessa smiled gently at the young one. "Of course, Shyana, I'll write your name on the list for you." She carefully wrote the girl's name on the paper as the youngest explained what she could do. "There. You're all entered. You don't have to sign anything like they did or even be able to whistle. If you want to get up there and sing your ABC's, then that counts too. So long as you have fun doing it, that's all that counts."

Her attention turned then to yet another small fledging whom had entered. She couldn't help but giggle at her childlike wonderment at the decor. It was part of the reward for throwing such an event - seeing all the happy faces. "Of course you may," she told the polite child. "Can you sign your name on the list for me?"

She nodded to the female who had sung the Irish song as she exited the stage. "Well done. If you take a seat, one of the staff will bring you a drink and meal on the house. And as soon as this young lady has signed the list, I'll be sure to add you to it and you'll receive your gift shortly."

A simple "Good Luck," was bade to the well-dressed woman who signed her name in such an elegant manner. She was surprised she had enough time to even say that with the quickness of the action. She was pleased though, at the turnout so far, though she wished dreadfully for more to arrive and sign up. Perhaps, she thought, I'll send a messenger off to the guilds. A slight nod and "Good Luck" were given to the newest, quiet entrant as she finished signing her name.

Daman Walks over to said Parchment and Signs his name making sure it is not missed. It would be just his luck what with all the shady dealings going on in this forsaken town to actually be over looked yet again.

There we are nice big letters even Lore would be able to read this.

Nodding slightly to the woman that was operating such a charitable event he let out a hoarse laugh that was, once more, accompanied by a thick fog of cold. It would be intriguing to see how things went, to see if the charity in this city could so easily fall into his lap after him being here such a short time. Perhaps things were beginning to look up for him after all. With such kindness as she showed simply by acknowledging him he smiled within the darkness of that hood and nodded his head just enough for her to notice the motion. Seeming to glide over to her he laughed once more as he passed her and with a thick Irish accent he whispered a few words into her ear.

"Don't ferget to kiss yer Blarney Stone lass."

And with those words he simply let himself slip into the shadows barely out of view of the dealings feeling as if this would be quite a good time to get to know those that he would either call friend or enemy or indifferent. A watchful eye always brought the best vantage point after all. Who was he to look a gift horse in the mouth?

"Of course you may .... Can you sign your name on the list for me?"

Nodding with big smile she giggled too, "Thank you very much." Mila carefully took up the pen. Her nose scrunched and the tip of a pink tongue poked through at one corner of her mouth as she concentrated. Her handwriting wasn't perfect, but it was a carefully legible cursive that spelled out the entirety of her name.
